GUADALUPE/MALINTZIN Painting up at Ave 50 Gallery on March 10

Hi Y'all!

Just wanted to give the heads up on an upcoming gallery exhibit at Gallery Ave 50. A group of artists were asked to give their visual interpretation of the relationships of Guadalupe and Malintzin.  Both are two extremely important female figures in the history of Mexico.

Should be interesting! Come if you can.

Hey guys,

This isn't part of our class, but I was given the suggestion to put it up on this blog (seeing it's a concept piece) to get some good constructive critique. Have fun :)

Image composed in Photoshop using Levels, blur, curves, hue saturation...

Adding to what Joel taught us last night... I just wanted to show how the use of adjustment layers such as levels, hue saturation, blur, and so on could tie your whole project together...

This image is composed of 5 different elements and adjusted to look like they were all captured at the same time and the same place...

these are the images I used...

Research and Textures

Hey guys,

There is a site called CGTextures that might be a useful resource for research. You'll have to register (free) with them to obtain larger resolutions of their images, but they have a lot of good stuff.
